Through my work at Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation (DESC) and Detroit at Work, I created maps of the potential locations for career centers to help our team determine the best locations for these career centers. We have moved from three locations to eight locations. These new career centers are closer to more Detroiters in poverty which is especially important considering the transportation barriers within our city. Think about which projects need to have data driven decisions about geographical locations!
